A Story Of A Young Business Man

Becoming a young business man is not easy. One may need to sacrifice, face various trials, and be mindful of people who may betray and back-stab. 

Richard C. Orzal, presently 24 years old, grew up in a poor family because his father died when he was very young. He had 4 siblings, himself third to the eldest. They each looked for ways to earn money on their own.

His elder brother drove a tricycle owned by their family to help other siblings go to school. His mother was a vendor of different street foods and they helped her after school. He also gathered slop for their piglets which he carried from the market to their house. 

After graduating a one-year course, he started to sell vegetables in the market where their mother sold street foods. At that time, he did not have any idea yet how market trading works, how much profit could be possible, and how to get along with the other sellers.

He experienced being bullied by the other vendors. Sometimes he sold vegetables even under heavy rain, inasmuch as the area he is selling in did not have roof, thoroughly drenching him and his produce. These were some of the most unforgettable moments in his life.

As time passed and he became more adept to the ways of the market, he rented his own place with roof and other utilities. In almost five years he was able to save enough money for him to be able to study in college. 

When he decided to find regular employment working for companies, he began as factory worker, later became a fast food chain crew member, and was given the chance to be a call center agent.

All this time he managed to save enough money to buy his own pig, which he contracted his neighbor to take care of.  Later he bought more piglets, one of which he allowed to be turned into a sow. 

Through prayers to the Holy Ghost he overcame his lack of confidence during the interviews given him. Thus he was able to apply successfully to three successive different call centers, where he gained more knowledge and capabilities.

Taking a big leap forward, he later started his dream business: an internet café. He opened October 11, 2010 with two sets of computers, and then added four more within a month. 

His achievements help him a lot to be a stronger person able to face many difficult trials. For these and for a special lady he found to inspire him through all ordeals, he credits the Heavenly Father.

He is now looking forward to his next goal: to serve a full-time mission for the Church. He is waiting for his call, after which he plans to get married in the Temple with the one he wants to be with for all eternity. 

The path Richard has taken, although initially thorny, has become more pleasant towards the end. Yet, on a spiritual level, it is just beginning. His dreams for his future family and for his children to have better lives than he did, will definitely receive divine guidance.
